A traffic stop conducted by the Peru Police Department resulted in the arrest of two individuals on drug charges.  

 

On July 26, 2017 at approximately 12:31 a.m., Mark Weaver, 52 of 227 E. 3rd Street, Apt. C, Peru and Alicia Irvin, 42 of 270 W. 2nd Street, Apt 4, Peru were traveling eastbound on Main Street at Grant Avenue when the pair passed Peru Police Officer Keith Smith, who was westbound on routine patrol.
