4:38 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. Hoosier Blvd./S. US Route 31, Peru. A traffic stop was conducted with a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Justin Bowles of South Bend on US 31 near the SR 218 West intersection at approximately 4:40 a.m. Peru Police Officer Brindle and his canine partner assisted during the traffic stop. A free air sniff was conducted by PPD's canine who alerted to the presence of a narcotic. A search of the vehicle resulted in nearly 9 pounds of marijuana. Justin Bowles was arrested and transported to the Miami County Jail.

9:39 a.m. A report of a suspicious person/vehicle at Miami Correctional Facility on W. 850 S., Bunker Hill. A subject was being released from prison and the victim was in the area waiting to confront him. Everything checked ok.

1:22 a.m. A suspicious person or vehicle in the 4800 block of W. 1300 S., Galveston. This call was handled by ISP.
1:41 a.m. Follow up in the area of W. Barberry Ln. / S. 400 W., Peru. A deputy responded to a report of a juvenile walking. It was determined that this was the juvenile reported as missing earlier in the day. The juvenile was returned to her parents.
4:00 a.m. Agency assistance in the area of W. 600 S. / S. 200 W., Peru. A deputy assisted ISP with a suspicious person call.
