7:58 a.m. A deputy assisted a citizen at the C Store on N. Foreman Dr., Peru, with a locked vehicle.

8:16 a.m. Report of criminal mischief in the 2100 block of E. 550 N., Peru. The complainant advised that there were pine needles and debris in their yard (county right of way). The individual who had moved the debris with a tractor agreed to remove the debris from the complainant’s yard.

2:52 p.m. A deputy at the Miami County Sheriff’s Department took a report of a battery that had occurred on 02/14/20. A case report was completed.

3:53 p.m. Report of a traffic accident with damage in the area of N. State Road 19/E. 400 N., Peru. An SUV ran off the road and struck a sign. A state crash report was completed.

5:42 p.m. Deputies responded to the report of an excavator on fire in the 1500 block of W. Macy Gilead Rd., Macy. Assistance given.

5:56 p.m. Report of a traffic accident with damage in the 600 block of W. 11th St., Peru. Karan Hurt, of Peru, was westbound on 11th St. near Forest St. in her 2010 Ford. Hurt was traveling at a high rate of speed and was unable to maneuver around a left-hand curve. Hurt ran off the west side of the roadway and into several trees causing damage to the Ford. There were no injuries reported. A state crash report was completed.

8:45 p.m. A deputy assisted the Indiana State Police Department with a search warrant in the 4600 block of S. 50 W., Peru.
