Beverly A. Lennon, 82, formerly of Peru, passed away on February 6, 2020, in Alabama.
She was born in Peru on September 14, 1937, the daughter of Homer and Mary Poage Blackman. Beverly married James Lennon on May 27, 1954, and he survives.
Beverly was a Physical Therapy Technician and Nurses Aide at Dukes. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Peru.
Beverly enjoyed traveling with her grandchildren, fishing in Minnesota and flea marketing in Shipshewana.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Jim, are her children Rhonda Opp and her husband Larry of Peru, Ron Lennon of Macy, Randy Lennon and his wife Sherry of Humble, TX and Richard Lennon and his wife Hilda of Peru; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Donald Blackman and a son, Rodney Lennon.
A service celebrating the life of Beverly A. Lennon will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru with Pastor Phil Troxell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 A.M. till time of service, Saturday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
