2:49 a.m. A report of an assault at Country Cottage Apartments on W. Matador St., Peru. A caller reported that a group of four men battered him while he was walking his dog near the Village Pantry at Eagle’s Pointe. He refused medical attention. This case is under investigation at this time.

7:02 a.m. A deputy attempted to assist a citizen with a locked vehicle at Armour-Eckrich on State Road 19, Peru. Unsuccessful due to potential damage to the vehicle.

5:16 a.m. A deputy responded to the report of a burglary in the 200 block of N. Jefferson St., Converse. No burglary had occurred. This report was unfounded.

8:32 a.m. Report of a fire in the area of W. 400 S./S. US Route 31, Peru. No further information provided.

1:36 a.m. A report of an unwanted guest at the Korner Lounge on N. Broadway St.

5:18 a.m. A report of a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of W. 5th St. Ashley Pries, 32, of Peru, was arrested on a charge of Domestic Battery in the Presence of a Minor. Justin Camp, 33, of Peru, was arrested on a charge of Domestic Battery in the Presence of a Minor.

1:11 a.m. An officer responded to the report of two suspicious vehicles parked in the parking lot at Ivy Tech in the 400 block of W. Main St. Checked okay. One juvenile advised to head home due to curfew.

1:34 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Broadway St./E. 8th St. Written warning issued.

2:45 a.m. Officers conducted a security check at the First Presbyterian Church in the 100 block of W. Main St. An unsecured door was located. The building was cleared of occupants and the door was secured upon exiting.

12:03 a.m. A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1400 block of N. State Road 19, Peru. The deputy spoke with the subject at the residence, they advised that they were okay. The deputy also checked the outside of the residence and nothing suspicious was located.

3:35 a.m. A deputy responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle pulled off of the side of the roadway in the area of W. 1500 N./N. US Route 31, Macy. The driver transports R.V.’s and advised that he was on his way to pick one up for transport and had gotten tired on the way. He pulled over to sleep before continuing.

7:19 a.m. A deputy located a deer in the roadway in the area of E. Lover’s Lane Rd./E. Wabash Rd., Peru.
