The deputy advised the complainant that they would forward the information to the investigation officer. A 2006 Chevy truck driven by Patrick McClain, of Peru, was westbound on CR 100 S. in the area of CR 550 E. when it left the roadway and struck a tree. A state crash report was completed, and the vehicle was towed from the scene by Bowman’s Towing.

6:38 p.m. Report of a slide-off in the area of W. 1500 N./N. 25 W., Akron. Walter Schwartz, of Macy, was northbound on CR 25 W. south of CR 1500 N. in a 2007 Mazda. Schwartz lost control of the vehicle due to weather conditions and ran off the east side of the roadway. Schwartz then struck a tree causing front-end damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported. A state crash report was completed.
