12:17 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Broadway St./W. 7th St. Citation issued.
12:33 a.m. Report of a physical domestic disturbance in the 20 block of E. Warren St. After the investigation, it was discovered that no physical altercation had occurred. Scene photos were taken and the subjects agreed to be separated for the night.
1:17 a.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle sitting in a parking lot in the 70 block of W. 8th St. Officers discovered that the vehicle
was unoccupied and parked legally. No further action was taken. Assistance given.
2:03 a.m. Extra patrol was provided in the area of Plaza Dr.
2:04 a.m. Report of two suspicious males outside of Bill’s Meat Market on W. Main St. The subjects left the area prior to the arrival of law enforcement. The subjects were later located and taken into custody. Zachary Burkhead, 34, of Kokomo, was arrested on charges of Theft and Criminal Mischief. Anthony Lacluyse, 33, of Kokomo, was arrested on a charge of Theft.
8:25 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of Water St./E. Main St.
8:54 a.m. Report of a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of Cherokee Court. Officers discovered no signs of physical injuries and no physical assault was reported.
9:37 p.m. An officer at the Peru Police Department took the report of an assault that occurred on 1-10-2020. This is an ongoing investigation.
11:26 a.m. Report of a domestic disturbance in the area of W. 5th St./N. Broadway St. No further information provided.
1:02 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Broadway Ave./Bobtail Pike. Written warning issued.
1:03 p.m. Report of a traffic hazard in the area of E. State Road 124/E. 100 S. The officer followed the vehicle until it parked at a business of E. 8th St. The hazard appeared to be exhaust from the vehicle.
2:21 p.m. Report of a disabled vehicle in the area of N. Chili Ave./E. US Route 24. The driver had already contacted a tow truck and requested no police assistance. The vehicle was out of the traveled portion of the road.
3:24 p.m. Report of a possible drunk driver in the 700 block of W. Main St. Unable to locate.
4:03 p.m. Report of an unwanted guest in the 60 block of E. 2nd St. The subject was not who the caller believed it to be. No further assistance needed.
4:15 p.m. Report of agency assistance in the 300 block of Jackson Ave. The officer was unable to make contact with the subjects.
4:47 p.m. Report of unwanted guests in the 100 block of W. 6th St. The subjects left the area upon the request of law enforcement. A trespass warning was issued to one subject.
5:27 p.m. An officer at the Peru Police Department took a report of stolen medication. It is unknown when or where it was misplaced. The complainant wanted a report made for the record.
5:34 p.m. Report of a verbal domestic disturbance in the 10 block of Parkway Terrace. One party advised that they would leave for the night.
5:49 p.m. Report of citizen assistance at the Peru Police Department. An officer provided stand-by service for a civil matter.
5:50 p.m. Report of a welfare check in the 200 block of W. 7th St. Assistance given.
5:52 p.m. An officer conducted follow-up to an earlier call in the 1 block of Center St.
7:03 p.m. Report of a fight-not domestic at the Taco Bell on N. Broadway St. Witnesses advised that no fight had occurred, and two participants left the area prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
9:31 p.m. An officer at the Peru Police Department assisted a caller with questions regarding a civil issue.
9:56 p.m. An escort was provided in the 800 block of N. Broadway St.
10:29 p.m. Report of a possible burglary in the 300 block of Blackhawk Ct. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anyone. No signs of damage were reported.
10:31 p.m. Report of citizen assistance in the 300 block of Blackhawk Ct. The complainant reported that an unknown male had pushed down a seven-year-old and then stole her dog. The man is advised to have returned the dog shortly thereafter.
11:07 p.m. Extra patrol was provided in the area of Rosewood Dr./Parkway Terrace.
11:31 p.m. Extra patrol was provided at West City Park.
11:44 p.m. Extra patrol was provided at Maconaquah Park.
