12:28 a.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 80 block of Ewing St.
1:20 a.m. Parking problem in the 300 block of W. 5th St. Citation issued.
1:32 a.m. Parking problem in the 300 block of E. Main St. Warning issued.
1:46 a.m. Parking problem in the 300 block of W. 6th St. Citation issued.
2:27 a.m. 911 Hang-up in the 500 block of Jefferson Ave. Negative contact.
4:02 a.m. Traffic stop in the 700 block of N. Chili Ave. Warning issued.
4:52 a.m. A report of two unrelated loiterers at the truck stop. Both advised they had rides coming.
6:15 a.m. A report of a male jumping into traffic in the area of W. US Route 24 / N. US Route 31, Peru. The male was located as he walked under an overpass bridge. He advised he was not in the roadway and was staying out of the shoulder to avoid getting into trouble.
6:33 a.m. Traffic stop in the 900 block of N. Broadway St. Warning issued.
7:00 a.m. 911 Hang-up in the 20 block of McKinstry Ave. Checked ok.
10:25 a.m. Recovered stolen property in the 70 block of W. 7th St. Property returned to the owners.
2:12 p.m. A dog was transported to animal control on German Street by the complainant.
2:21 p.m. A report of the theft of packages from a porch in the 50 block of E. 6th St.
3:42 p.m. 911 Hang-up at Eastwood Place on E. Main St. Checked ok.
4:16 p.m. Abandoned vehicle in the area of N. Broadway St. / E. Washington Ave. A report of a broken down vehicle in the middle of the roadway. The vehicle was moved off the roadway prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
4:36 p.m. Traffic stop in the 600 block of E. Main St. Written warning issued.
4:38 p.m. Property damage accident in the 100 block of E. 6th St. Report of damage to a vehicle while parked and unattended. Complainant presumes damage resulted from another vehicle.
4:40 p.m. Lost property in the area of Wayne St. / E. 6th St. Citizen located an Indiana ID card in the gravel lot by Wayne and 6th. Card was placed into the lost and found at Peru PD.
4:43 p.m. A report of a backpack that was located in the area of N. Chili Ave. / Harrison Ave. No identifying items in the bag. The subject who found the bag was advised they could do with it as they pleased.
5:16 p.m. Property damage accident in the 200 block of E. 6th St. Report of damage to two parked, unattended vehicles. Upon investigation, the damage was found to have occurred to a third vehicle parked nearby. Damage appeared to be localized to the driver-side mirrors.
5:28 p.m. A report of a traffic hazard at Taco Bell on N. Broadway St. A report of a vehicle doing burnouts in the Taco Bell parking lot. Upon arrival, the complainant pointed out the suspect. The suspect driver advised he may have hit the gas hard at one point but was never doing a full burn out. He as advised to use caution in the parking lot and drive slow. Assistance was given.

7:22 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Life Rd. / N. Chili Ave. Written warnings issued.
8:02 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Cory Ave. / Wallace Ave. Verbal warning issued.
9:26 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Broadway Ave. / Wallace Ave. Written warning issued.
9:29 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Cherokee Ct. / Apache Dr., Peru. Citation issued.
9:56 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 20 block of Park Ave.
10:03 p.m. Complainant reported hearing loud explosion-like noises coming from his neighbor’s backyard in the 60 block of E. 6th St. Officer checked area and was unable to locate anything.
10:10 p.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle and persons outside of a business in the 100 block of S. Broadway St., Peru. The subjects and vehicle were gone upon the arrival of law enforcement.
11:57 p.m. An officer conducted a patrol of West City Park.
