11:53 a.m. Citizen assistance at Kroger on W. Main St. Spoke with an individual via phone call about a vehicle left in the parking lot. The subject was advised they would be responsible for towing the vehicle due to it being on private property. Assistance was given.

3:28 p.m. A report of an overdose in the 200 block of W. 2nd St. Report of a possible overdose, the male subject left prior to first responders’ arrival. Nothing further needed.

4:26 p.m. Citizen assistance at Peru High School on N. Broadway St. Citizen stopped and asked how he could speak with a police officer reference questions for a college class. Assistance was given.

10:13 p.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of W. 3rd St. Central dispatch advised Peru units to be en-route to the above location in reference to two male subjects getting into vehicles. Checked area and was unable to locate. Lt. Ulery later located tow kids.

11:05 p.m. A report of a vehicle that had been vandalized at Dukes Memorial Hospital. A report was taken.

11:17 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. 50 W. / W. Riverside Dr., Peru. Warning issued.

11:31 p.m. Property damage accident in the 800 block of N. Broadway St. Brian L. Abbott, 36 of Delphi 2as operating a 2007 GMC Sierra Crew Cab truck northbound on N. Broadway Street just passing Roxy Ln. Abbott reached over to grab some food items that he had just purchased from Taco Bell. When doing this, his vehicle went into the grass area on the east side of the roadway and struck a decorative light pole. The damage was estimated at between $1,001 and $2,500. A state crash report was completed.
