12:57 a.m. A request for a welfare check in the area of Cory Ave. / Bobtail Pike, Peru. Welfare check on three subjects.

4:00 a.m. Warrant service at Dukes Memorial Hospital on W. 12th St. Emma Campbell, 40, of Peru was taken into custody on two Miami County Warrants.

4:16 a.m. An officer conducted a patrol of West City Park.

5:15 a.m. An officer assisted EMS with a medical call in the 400 block of Harrison Ave., Peru.

6:40 a.m. An officer provided an extra patrol on a school bus route.

11:06 a.m. Traffic hazard in the 700 block of N. Broadway St. A report of an intoxicated driver by Taco Bell staff. Kimberly Statton, 33, of Peru was arrested on a charge of OWI-Refusal.

11:11 a.m. A report of an abandoned vehicle in the 100 block of E. 8th St. Central dispatch advised of a parking complaint on two vehicles. Vehicles belonged to individuals in the neighborhood. One vehicle issued written warning for a flat tire, the other vehicle checked out ok.

11:57 a.m. A report of a runaway juvenile was taken in the 500 block of W. 3rd St.

12:37 p.m. A report of a theft at Casey’s General Store on W. Main St. Central Dispatch advised of a vehicle that drove off without paying for gas. Assistance was given.

1:58 p.m. A report of a fight in the 30 block of W. Main St. Verbal argument only. Assistance was given.

2:08 p.m. Controlled Substance problem at South Peru School on Park Dr. A syringe was reported. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the syringe.

2:10 p.m. An officer assisted EMS with a medical call at Kroger on W. Main St.

2:53 p.m. Property Damage accident in the area of N. Chili Ave. / E. US Route 24, Peru. Officers were unable to locate the truck. A US 24 sign was down. State Highway Department was notified.

3:10 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Grant St. / W. 7th St. Written warning issued.

4:05 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. 3rd St. / S. Broadway St. Verbal warning issued.

4:14 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of E. 2nd St. / E. Canal St. Written warning issued.

4:29 p.m. Traffic stop in the 00 block of S. Miami St. Written warning issued.

4:47 p.m. Property damage accident in the area of W. 5th St. / N. Broadway St. Angela S. Rouch, 43 of Peru was operating a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse westbound on 5th Street about to turn onto Broadway. As she was pulling forward over the crosswalk, a bicyclist was heading south on the sideway. Rouch reported that the bicyclist did not even slow down and crashed into the front passenger’s side quarter panel. The bicyclist then gets up, grabs his bike and takes off. The bicyclist was not located. The damage was estimated at between $1,001 and $2,500. A state accident report was completed.

4:52 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of May Ave. / Washington Ave. Citations issued. The vehicle was towed. A passenger, Kyera Douglass, 27 of Peru, was arrested on a Miami County Warrant for Violation of Probation, O/C Possession of Syringe.

4:54 p.m. K9 deployment in the area of May Ave. / Washington Ave. Free air sniff.

5:13 p.m. A report of a residence and vehicle break-in in the 80 block of E. 2nd St. Nothing was reported missing.

5:25 p.m. A report of an assault in the 600 block of Jackson Ave., Peru. Dispatch advised that two males had just assaulted another male, however, they did not have a description or a direction of travel. A report was taken.

5:31 p.m. Property damage accident in the 50 block of Washington Ave. A local report was taken. No additional information was provided on this call.

6:04 p.m. A report of a traffic hazard in the area of 8th Street / N. Broadway St. (Underpass). The underpass was flooding. Traffic was diverted until the street department had signs in place.

6:06 p.m. Citizen assistance in the area of W. Main St. / N. Grant St. Report of lighting striking in the area of Main and Grant. An officer advised dispatch to contact the street department due to the light being out. They advised they were bringing a 4way stop sign out. Assistance was given.

6:14 p.m. Traffic hazard in the area of W. US Route 24 / N. Mexico Rd., Peru. Lights at 24 and Broadway were flashing red due to weather. All drivers were treating it as a four-way.

7:45 p.m. 911 Hang-up in the 400 block of Madison Ave., Peru. Checked ok.

8:01 p.m. Citizen assistance in the area of Graham Ave. / Wallace Ave. Tree branch hanging over the roadway. The street department was notified.
