12:43 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. Main St. / N. Miami St. John Golitko, 57 of Peru was arrested on a charge of Possession of Marijuana.

12:48 a.m. K9 deployment in the area of W. Main St. / N. Miami St. Free air sniff.

1:12 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. 400 W. / W. State Road 218, Peru. Verbal warning issued.

2:56 a.m. An officer checked on two vehicles and some male subjects in the parking lot of a closed business in the 600 block of E. Main St. Subjects had just gone fishing. Checked ok. Assistance was given.

7:19 a.m. A domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Bobtail Pike. No additional information was provided on this call.

8:54 a.m. An officer recovered possible stolen property as per an ISP investigation at Eastwood Place on E. Main St.

9:04 a.m. Citizen assistance at the Peru Police Department. A citizen came to the Peru Police Department with questions on how to seek a protective order. The subject also requested extra patrol in are of Residence in the evening and early morning hours.

9:35 a.m. A report of an animal problem in the 800 block of W. Main St. The area was checked and an officer was unable to locate.

9:41 a.m. A report of a strange odor in the 200 block of W. 5th St. An officer checked the area. Was a strange smell however was not gas or chemical smell. Assistance was given.

9:44 a.m. A report of a possible intoxicated driver in the area of N. 175 E. / E. US Route 24, Peru. The driver checked ok.

10:24 a.m. An officer assisted EMS with a medical call at Sherwood Court on W. Main St.

11:15 a.m. Property damage accident in the area of N. Broadway St. / E. Washington Ave. Report of a moped that wrecked at Washington and Broadway. A person on moped got back on and left south. Officers were unable to locate.

12:17 p.m. Domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Jefferson Ave. Ongoing issued with subjects arguing.

1:40 p.m. A report of fraud in the 500 block of W. 7th St. Complainant was advised his situation regarding his current spouse's credit card debt was civil and should be taken to civil court to remedy the incident.

2:30 p.m. 911 Hang-up in the 300 block of Wabash St. Checked ok.

3:37 p.m. Citizen assistance at Peru Junior High School. Report of an issue between a substitute teacher and a student.

4:26 p.m. A report of a suspicious smell coming from the basement area of a residence in the 100 block of W. 6th St. No additional information was provided on this call.

5:14 p.m. A report of a civil issue between former roommates in the 700 block of Bobtail Pike. Assistance was given.

5:20 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. US Route 24 / N. Mexico Rd., Peru. Citation issued.

5:47 p.m. A report of a woman crying on a caller’s porch in the 200 block of Coles Ln., Peru. The woman was located and checked ok.

6:59 p.m. A report of an assault at the Marathon Station on E. Main St. Report of an argument with subject leaving the residence. The subject was then placed on trespass and taken to the hospital for self-check-in.

7:01 p.m. A request for a welfare check in the area of Water St. / E. Washington Ave. Report of a female walking in the roadway. Female located and advised to stay on the sidewalks. Female was intoxicated but appeared to be in no danger to herself or others.

7:43 p.m. A report of an animal problem in the 200 block of S. Wabash St. Loose dog report. Unable to locate.

7:55 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Lincoln St. / E. Canal St. Verbal warning issued.

8:01 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Benton St. / E. Canal St. Written warning issued.

8:35 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. US Route 24 / N. Mexico Rd., Peru. Citation issued.

10:24 p.m. Agency assistance in the 60 block of W. Main St. Request by Marion Police Department to check the residence for a runaway juvenile. Officers checked two known residences; however, the juvenile was not located.

11:15 p.m. Business escort at the Dairy Queen on N. Broadway St.

11:59 p.m. Report of loud neighbors in the 20 block of Albert St. Upon officer arrival, nothing was heard, checked ok.
