12:30 a.m. A report of a suspicious packaged or item in the 1500 block of W. 300 S., Peru. No additional information was provided on this call.

3:38 a.m. A report of a suspicious package or item in the area of E. 500 S. / S. 250 E., Peru. No additional information was provided on this call.

7:37 a.m. A report of a vehicle in the roadway in the area of W. Eel River Rd. / N. Mexico Rd., Peru. Attempted to contact the owner, no answer. The vehicle was removed from the roadway.

9:11 a.m. A caller in the 40000 block of Fairchild Ct. advised that someone took medication from his locked vehicle. There was no forced entry into the vehicle.

9:30 a.m. A report of a suspicious person in the area of W. Commerce St. / N. Allen St., Macy. The caller reported that the individual seemed impaired. Deputies contacted a male in the area. Brant Owen, 44 of Peru was taken into custody on charges of Possession of Schedule I and Possession of Schedule II.

10:44 a.m. A caller in the 4600 block of S. 550 E., Peru reported that her dogs were taken from her property. The complainant was going to come to the Sheriff’s Department to speak with a deputy but had not arrived after four hours.

11:46 a.m. A deputy conducted a welfare check in a subject in the 300 block of W. Pearl St., Bunker Hill. Assistance was given.

12:53 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Business 31 / S. US Route 31, Peru. Warning issued.

3:05 p.m. Property damage accident in the area of W. State Road 18 / S. US Route 31, Kokomo. Erin Camarena of Twelve Mile was traveling north on US 31 at the intersection of US 31 and SR 18 in a 2002 red Dodge Ram. Erin was unable to stop before striking a 2011 Beige Kia SUV driven by Sherri Moore of Peru. There was damage to both individuals. No injuries were reported.

5:59 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of E. 300 S. / S. State Road 19, Peru. Warning issued.

6:11 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of E. 400 S. / S. State Road 19, Peru. Citation issued.

8:05 p.m. Unsecure Premises in the 5900 block of E. 1050 S., Amboy. A deputy located an unlocked door at a business near North Grove. The building was checked then secured.

8:12 p.m. Controlled substance problem in the 400 block of Cherokee Ct., Peru. No additional information was provided on this call.

8:59 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Business 31 / S. 200 W., Peru. Warning issued.

9:05 p.m. Building check in the 90 block of W. Harrison St., Denver. Open door. Didn’t locate anyone inside. The door was secured.

9:33 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 1700 block of N. Foreman Dr., Peru on the report of a reckless driver. The deputy was unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

9:57 p.m. Agency assistance in the 400 block of E. Main St. A deputy assisted PPD with a domestic battery call.

10:01 p.m. Criminal Mischief in the 2600 block of Capehart St., Peru. A deputy was dispatched in reference to a vehicle being damaged. This is an ongoing investigation.

10:19 p.m. Attempted protective order service in the 100 block of Wilson Ave., Peru. No contact.
