12:41 a.m. A report of someone knocking on the complainant’s window in the 20 block of May Ave. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anyone.

1:06 a.m. A report of suspicious persons in the area of N. Benton St. / 6th St. Alley. Juveniles out past curfew.

1:45 a.m. Citizen assistance in the area of W. 14th St. / Brown St. Stand-by for repossession of two vehicles. Assistance was given.

2:10 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. 50 W. / W. Riverside Dr. Written warning issued.

2:25 a.m. An officer conducted a patrol of Maconaquah Park.

3:08 a.m. A report of a suspicious person in the area of S. Wayne St. / E. Canal St. An officer spoke with two subjects seen in the wood line with flashlights. They were preparing to fish and checked ok.

5:41 a.m. A report of an alarm in the 1000 block of Industrial Pkwy. Officers were advised to disregard upon arrival.

5:55 a.m. A report of an alarm at Eastwood Placed on E. Main St. Checked ok.

6:10 a.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle parked with a male asleep inside. In the 600 block of E. Main St. Male advised he was just parked there sleeping due to an argument with his wife. Appeared to check ok.

10:37 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Broadway St. / 10th St. Verbal warning issued.

11:33 a.m. A report of an alarm in the 400 block of W. 14th St. Checked ok.

12:39 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 600 block of Monroe Ave., Peru.

1:18 p.m. Citizen assistance in the 300 block of Apache Dr., Peru. Stand by as parents were able to get son into a car for a medical appointment. Assistance was given.

2:42 p.m. A report of a syringe located in an alley in the 200 block of W. 6th St. The item was disposed of by PPD.

2:51 p.m. Civil matter in the 110 block of N. Holman St. Standby for a male to retrieve items from a residence. Upon arrival, the homeowner was not present.

3:11 p.m. A citizen came to the Peru Police Department wanting a no trespass warning issued to a female for his property.

3:31 p.m. Lost property in the area of N. Paw Paw Pike / E US Route 24, Peru. Located stolen ring on side of US 24 during the memorial walk for David Rich. The ring was given to Det. from Logansport.

3:34 p.m. A report of possible drug activity in the 700 block of Rushburn Green Dr., Peru. An officer was dispatched to speak with the complainant about one of her tenants using illegal narcotics.

3:51 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Wabash / E. 5th St. Written warning issued.

4:03 p.m. Civil matter at the Peru Police Department. A citizen had child custody questions. Assistance was given.

4:08 p.m. A report of a possible suspicious "campsite" behind a building in the 100 Block of S. Benton St. I located the site, however, no one was present at the time. I will check back later and attempt to make contact with someone. Assistance was given.

4:15 p.m. Traffic hazard in the 100 block of W. Main St. A report of a tire in the travel portion of the roadway. The tire had been removed upon arrival.

4:43 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Grant St. / W. 5th St. Written warning issued.

4:44 p.m. Welfare check in the 80 block of Madison Ave. No additional information was provided.

5:32 p.m. An officer responded to a civil matter in the 300 block of Washington Ave. Question about a vehicle sold on contract. Assistance was given.

5:51 p.m. A request for a welfare check on a male in a vehicle sitting in the Broadway Plaza Parking lot. The complainant advised the male appeared to be unconscious. The male was arrested on site for active warrants out of Alabama. Jimmy Joles, 45 of Peru was arrested on charges of Possession of Schedule III X2 and Possession of Paraphernalia.

6:01 p.m. 911 Hang-up in the 40 block of Center St., Peru. Checked ok.

6:03 p.m. K9 deployment for vehicle sitting in the Broadway Plaza Parking Lot. Free air sniff.

6:05 p.m. A report of the theft of a bicycle was taken in the 50 block of E. 6th St.

7:11 p.m. Officers assisted EMS with a medical call in the 300 block of Adams Ave.

7:29 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Broadway St. / Madison Ave. Verbal warning issued.

7:51 p.m. An officer located a dog in the alley of the 200 block of E. 5th St. The dog was returned to its residence.

8:20 p.m. Agency assistance in the area of S. Broadway Ave. / Strawtown Pike. An officer assisted a Miami County Unit.

8:22 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Armstrong Ave. / W. Warren St. Warning issued.

8:46 p.m. An officer observed an open garage door in the 100 block of W. 6th St. Checked ok.

9:06 p.m. Citizen assistance in the 50 block of Center St., Peru. An officer spoke with a male over the phone who had questions regarding child abuse. Assistance was given.

9:09 p.m. Parking Problem in the 100 block of N. Broadway St. 3 cars were towed.

9:46 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 00 block of N. Benton St.

9:51 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle at the Norfolk & Southern Yard Office on N. Benton St.

10:31 p.m. Agency assistance in the 200 block of E. 8th St. Central dispatch advised Peru units to be en-route to the above location in reference to a wanted female. Unable to locate.

11:02 p.m. Deposit escort from Dairy Queen in the 800 block of N. Broadway St.
