3:02 a.m. A deputy responded to the report of a traffic accident with damage at the Circle K in the 100 block of E. Marion St., Converse. Amy Caldwell of Peru struck a deer on State Road 19 north of Amboy while driving her 2012 Chevrolet Malibu.

4:50 a.m. A deputy responded to the report of a suspicious package or item in the 8400 block of N. 100 E., Denver. Central Dispatch advised the deputy to disregard.

7:19 a.m. A deputy responded to the report of a possible overdose in the 1500 block of S. 400 W., Peru. Assistance given.

9:59 a.m. A deputy assisted with a repossession in the 300 block of S. Main St., Amboy.

10:36 a.m. A deputy assisted with traffic in the 4000 block of N. Mexico Rd., Mexico, where a tree had fallen across the roadway blocking all traffic flow.

11:44 a.m. A deputy assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 35000 block of Altus Ct., Peru.

12:33 p.m. A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 3700 block of S. 400 W., Peru. Assistance given.

1:19 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of a fallen tree partially blocking the roadway in the area of E. State Road 16 / N. 500 E., Denver. The state Highway Department removed the tree.

1:55 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of juveniles riding ATV’s in the 1900 block of E. 300 S., Peru. The deputy spoke with an adult on scene, warning for violations. The ATV’s were parked at the time of the deputy’s arrival.

2:15 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. State Road 19 / E. 500 S., Peru. Citation issued.

2:03 p.m. Report of a welfare check in the 2500 block of W. 3rd St., Mexico. No further information provided.

2:55 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of an active alarm at Ladd Dental in the 1400 block of W. Hoosier Blvd., Peru. The deputy found an unsecured door, but no signs of anyone inside. Employees at a neighboring business had not seen anyone around the area.

5:41 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of a traffic violation in the area of W. 11th St. / N. Kelly Ave., Peru. This call was handled by the Peru Police Department.

6:22 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of a barking dog in the 9100 block of N. Old Route 31, Macy. A verbal warning was issued.

6:29 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of a traffic accident with damage in the area of W. 850 S. / S. US Route 31, Bunker Hill. Austin Shatto was sitting in the crossover on US 31 at 850 S. attempting to turn north onto US 31 in his GMC Envoy when he attempted to turn into the passing lane and struck the side of a semi that was being driven by Timothy Day. No injuries were reported.

7:59 p.m. A deputy attempted warrant service in the 200 block of Village St., Converse.

8:26 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of cows in the roadway in the area of State Highway 124 / S. Francis Slocum Trail, Peru. The owner had them taken care of prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

8:33 p.m. A deputy attempted warrant service in the 100 block of E. Railroad St., Amboy.

8:43 p.m. A deputy attempted to conduct a welfare check in the area of W. Ellis Rd. / S. Business 31, Peru. Unable to locate.

10:14 p.m. A deputy attempted warrant service in the 1200 block of W. Lakeview Dr., Peru.

11:18 p.m. A deputy located an unoccupied vehicle off of the roadway in the area of W. 500 S. / S. 100 W., Peru. No further information provided.
