12:41 a.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle or person in the 100 block of W. Broadway St., Bunker Hill. No further information provided.

1:37 a.m. A deputy provided extra patrol in the area of S. Elm St./E. State Road 18, Converse.

11:33 a.m. A deputy conducted a welfare check in response to a 911 hang-up in the 2900 block of S. 300 W., Peru. Everything checked ok.

12:53 p.m. A deputy provided extra patrol of the Miami County Courthouse in the 20 block of N. Broadway St., Peru.

1:02 p.m. Report of an active alarm in the 4900 block of S. 19, Peru. No further information provided.

1:24 p.m. Report of a wanted person at the Miami County Probation office in the 20 block of Court St., Peru. China Burt, 30, of Peru, was taken into custody on a Miami County Warrant for Failure to Appear.

2:46 p.m. A deputy provided extra patrol at North Miami Elementary School in the 600 block of E. 900 N., Denver.

3:06 p.m. A deputy assisted the Amboy Fire Department with a call in the 4700 block of E. 550 S., Peru.

3:28 p.m. A deputy spoke with an individual by telephone at the Miami County Sheriff’s Department in regard to a civil issue.

3:34 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of an active alarm in the 2500 block of S. Willow Creek Dr., Peru. The deputy was advised to disregard prior to their arrival on the scene.

4:50 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. 400 N./N. US Route 31, Peru. Citation issued.

5:28 p.m. A deputy spoke with an individual by telephone at the Miami County Sheriff’s Department in regard to a civil issue.

6:50 p.m. A deputy spoke with an individual at the Miami County Sheriff’s Department who had questions regarding protective orders.

7:00 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of criminal mischief in the 7400 block of N. Warsaw Trl., Denver. The complainant advised that a trailer had received damage due to a vehicle traveling quickly on the gravel roadway. The deputy observed the damage to the trailer and reviewed security footage but was unable to witness the rocks hitting the trailer and causing damage. The deputy was able to see the vehicle in question pick up speed near the trailer. This is an ongoing investigation.

7:28 p.m. Deputies responded to the report of a verbal domestic disturbance in the 1300 block of Donaldson Ave., Peru. Both parties agreed to remain civil for the rest of the evening.

8:44 p.m. Deputies responded to the report of a possible vehicle theft in the 1 block of E. 650 S., Peru. The male who drove away with the vehicle was the registered owner of the vehicle in question. Everything checked ok.

9:17 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of a wanted person in the 200 block of Cherokee Ct., Peru. Zachary Kinzie, 18, of Bunker Hill, was taken into custody per a warrant from the Miami County Superior Court II.

9:57 p.m. A deputy spoke with an individual by telephone at the Miami County Sheriff’s Department in reference to Indiana fireworks laws.

10:21 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of a traffic accident with property damage in the area of W. Division Rd./N. US Route 31, Peru. Chelsie Creekmore was traveling south on US 31 at Division Rd. in a 2015 Ford Explorer when a deer entered the roadway from the east. Creekmore was unable to avoid the deer in the roadway and struck the deer causing damage to the vehicle. There were no injuries reported. A state crash report was completed.

11:43 p.m. Report of a fire in the 13000 block of S. 1050 E., Converse. No further information provided.
