12:47 a.m. 911 Hang-up in the 500 block of E. Main St. A report of a subject inside a residence. The male was found to be laying on the couch in the residence. The owners did not know the male subject. David Wade, 47, 611 S. McCann St., Kokomo was arrested on a charge of Residential Entry.

12:57 a.m. A report of a traffic violation in the 100 blocks of W. 2nd St. An officer took a report of reckless driving.

3:05 a.m. Parking problem in the 200 block of W. 7th St. Verbal warning issued.

4:39 a.m. Building check in the 100 block of S. Wabash St. Checked secure.

12:01 p.m. Property damage accident in the area of N. Miami St. / W. 8th St. Roxanne L. Ciavardoni, 41 of Peru was operating a 2002 Buick Regal backing from a parking lot when she collided into the side of a 2017 Ford Escape owned by Sean P. McGowan of Kokomo. The damage was estimated at between $2,501 and $5,000. A state crash report was completed.

12:15 p.m. A report of threats was taken from a citizen at the Peru Police Department. Assistance was given.

12:17 p.m. Citizen assistance in the 300 block of Tyler Ave. A subject advised that someone dumped 5 tires on his property and he wanted it documented.

12:54 p.m. A syringe was located at the Hot Spot on S. Benton St. It was collected and disposed of by PPD.

1:13 p.m. A citizen came to the Peru Police Department with questions about domestic abuse. Assistance was given.

1:47 p.m. Central Dispatch advised of a report of a stolen vehicle at the Gallahan Truck Stop. Upon further investigation, the complainant realized he drove a different vehicle he owned, and everything checked ok.

2:51 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle at the Kroger Fuel Center. Assistance was given.

3:13 p.m. An officer spoke with a female in the lobby of the Peru Police Department in reference to a harassment complaint. Assistance was given.

3:19 p.m. An officer provided an extra patrol in the area of N. Broadway St. / Daniel St. for High School Kids “getting uncontrollable”.

3:34 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a standby while a subject retrieved items from a residence.

3:54 p.m. A report of an alarm in the 700 block of N. Broadway St. Accidental set-off. Checked ok.

4:06 p.m. An officer took a report of threats in the 200 block of W. Main St.

4:08 p.m. An officer assisted EMS with a medical call in the 90 block of E. 8th St.

4:12 p.m. An officer responded to the 1000 block of Rosewood Dr., for a civil matter regarding child custody.

4:20 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 200 block of Franklin Ct.

5:06 p.m. Traffic hazard in the area of N. Broadway St. / E. 8th St. A broken-down vehicle in the northbound lane of Broadway just past the underpass. An officer along with two citizens were able to push the vehicle to the Hardee’s parking lot. Assistance was given.

5:31 p.m. Traffic stop at Broadway Plaza. No action was taken.

5:54 p.m. Property damage accident in the area of W. 3rd St. / S. Miami St. Shily C. Sloan, 25 of Peru was operating a 2003 Buick Le Sabra eastbound on 3rd Street approaching Miami. The driver stated she was putting an address in her GPS when she realized she was disregarding a stop sign. The driver was not able to stop before colliding with a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country operated by Carolyn M. Williams, 73 of Peru. Damage is estimated at between $5,001 and $10,000. A state crash report was completed.

5:55 p.m. A report of a possible intoxicated driver in the 1700 block of W. Logansport Rd., Peru. An officer located the vehicle. No signs of impairment were observed. The driver reported he had just gotten off work in Lafayette and was tired. The driver received a written warning for driving left of center.

6:42 p.m. An officer responded to a civil matter involving a former tenant and a cleaning company in the 400 block of Monroe Ave. Assistance was given.

7:16 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Oliver St. / Logan St. Written warning issued.

4:23 p.m. A report of a male at Davis Park that was threatening juveniles with a gun. Officers were unable to locate the subject. A report was taken.

4:54 p.m. An officer received a report of a juvenile playing in a parking lot alone in the area of S. Holland St. / W. 2nd St. Upon investigation, it was learned that the juvenile had snuck out the back door but was not with the father. Checked ok.

4:55 p.m. Missing person in the 20 block of Jean Ave. An officer spoke with a female who wanted to report her husband missing. After speaking with the female, the officer located her husband and advised her that everything was fine and that he just needed to “clear his head”. Assistance was given.

5:49 p.m. Stand by in the 500 block of Harrison Ave. for a subject to retrieve his belongings.

5:50 p.m. A report of a theft at the Walgreen’s Drug Store on N. Broadway St. A report was taken regarding a black male that had just stolen items from the store.

7:50 p.m. Search warrant in the 100 block of S. Fremont St.

7:51 p.m. Warrant service in the 100 block of S. Fremont St. Bradley Davenport was arrested on a Cass County Warrant and for possession of 1.5 grams of Methamphetamine. John Davenport was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine and possession of a syringe.

10:07 p.m. Criminal mischief at the Marathon Station on E. Main St. A report of vandalism to the plumbing in the bathroom of the Marathon Station.

11:19 p.m. Disorderly Conduct in the 300 block of Boulevard, Peru. Verbal family dispute. The parties were separated before officer arrival and parted for the evening. Assistance was given.

1:56 a.m. A report of a possible domestic dispute at the Gallahan Truck Stop. ISP handled this call.

1:57 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Wayne St. / E. Washington Ave. Verbal warning issued.

2:41 a.m. Traffic stop in the 200 block of S. Broadway St. Trooper Smith took over the stop.

Prior to arrival, the officer was advised everything was stable. The unit was having radio issues. Everything checked out okay. Agency assist.

1:13 p.m. Warrant service at Family Farm and Home on N. Broadway St. Central dispatch advised of a wanted subject that just left in a vehicle southbound on Broadway from Family Farm and Home. Located vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Nathan Lewis, 24 of Amboy was arrested on two Miami County Warrants for Failure to Appear.

1:18 p.m. A report of a suspicious person/circumstance in the 00 block of Donat St., Peru. An officer spoke with a subject who advised another male subject came running out of his house trying to start a fight with a neighbor and then yelling at neighbor’s grandson. An officers spoke with the subject who was yelling and advised him not to yell and to leave the neighbors alone.
