12:11 a.m. Deposit escort from Dairy Queen on N. Broadway St.

1:08 a.m. An officer advised two subject loitering and revving their engines in the parking lot of the VA Clinic on N. Broadway to stop and leave the parking lot. They complied. Nothing further.

2:09 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Fremont St. / W. Main St. Written warning issued.

2:40 a.m. Agency assistance in the area of W. US Route 24 / N. US Route 31, Peru. An officer assisted ISP with a possible drunk driver. The officer followed the vehicle but did not observe any violations. ISP continued to follow.

4:00 a.m. Building check in the 100 block of S. Broadway Ave. Checked ok.

4:07 a.m. Building check in the 200 block of S. Broadway Ave. The building was found to be unsecured. It was cleared and secured upon exiting.

4:44 a.m. 911 Hang-up at the McClure’s station on W. Main St. No additional information was provided on this call.

7:08 a.m. A female citizen came to the Peru Police Department wanting to report suspicious activity. Assistance was given.

7:55 a.m. Citizen assistance in the 600 block of Van Buren Ave. Central Dispatch advised of suspicious items left on the complainant’s property. Assistance was given.

8:46 a.m. An officer took a report of threats made by a student at Peru Junior High School.

9:12 a.m. An officer observed a possible protective order violation in the area of S. Tippecanoe St. / E. Main St. Everything checked ok. The order had been rescinded.

9:34 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. State Road 19 N. / E. Lovers Lane Rd., Peru. Citations issued.

9:47 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Chili Ave. / Van Buren Ave. Written warning issued.

10:07 a.m. Warrant service in the 300 block of W. 10th St. While on patrol, PPD Officer Swinford observed a subject he believed to have an active arrest warrant. The subject ran into a residence where another male subject was located who also had an active arrest warrant. Both subjects were taken into custody. Josie Kenworthy, 31 of Summerset was arrested on a Miami County Warrant for Violation of Probation, Possession of Narcotic and Possession of Methamphetamine. Christopher Sharp, 43 of Peru was arrested on a Miami County Warrant for Violation of Probation.

10:26 a.m. Agency assistance in the 100 block of W. 6th St. Deputy Richards observed a verbal argument in the street. An officer spoke with both parties who went their separate ways.

11:04 a.m. A report of a subject in the 400 block of E. Main St. being harassed by an unknown male via text message. A report was taken. Assistance was given.

11:09 a.m. 911 Hang-up in the 400 block of Jackson Ave. Checked ok.

12:30 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Abraham Ln. / S. Broadway Ave. Written warning issued.

12:41 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. Loves Lane / N. Mexico Rd., Peru. Citation issued.

12:56 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Water St. / E. 8th St. Verbal warning issued.

1:14 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Mexico Rd. / W. Ridgeview Dr., Peru. Citation issued.

1:29 p.m. Central Dispatch advised of two subjects possibly involved in illegal dumping in the area of S. 50 W. / W. Riverside Dr., Peru. An officer checked the area but did not locate anyone. Nothing further.

3:46 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Delores Ave. / N. Broadway St. No action was taken.

4:19 p.m. A report of two dogs running loose in the area of Lee St. / E. Main St., Peru. An officer was unable to locate any dogs in the area.

4:21 p.m. A report of a fight in the 400 block of E. 3rd St., Peru. City units responded to a report of a fight between juveniles. Upon arrival, one of the parties had already left the area. The one party remaining on scene advised that it was a verbal conflict only. Assistance was given.

5:03 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Holman St. / W. Main St. No action was taken.

5:08 p.m. Traffic stop in the 900 block of W. Main St. Written warning issued.

6:11 p.m. Warrant service at the Dollar General Store on E. Washington Ave. Christina Sheppard, 27 of Peru was taken into custody on a Cass County Warrant.

6:56 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in at Kroger on W. Main St.

6:59 p.m. Officers took a report of a sexual assault that took place three weeks ago at Dukes Memorial Hospital. The investigation is ongoing.

7:03 p.m. 911 hang-up in the 200 block of Blackhawk Cr. ISP handled this call.

7:49 p.m. Traffic stop in the 900 block of W. Main St. Written warning issued.

8:20 p.m. Attempted warrant service in the 200 block of W. 3rd St. Officers were unable to locate the wanted subject.

9:05 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Benton St. / E. 3rd St. Written warning issued.

9:07 p.m. A report of a male walking through back yards in the 600 block of Rushburn Green Dr., Peru. The subject was located, and everything checked ok.

9:33 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Logan St. / N. Broadway St. Written warning issued.

9:50 p.m. 911 Hang-up in the 100 block of E. 6th St. Everything checked ok.

10:06 p.m. A complainant contacted Central Dispatch and wished to report a variety of issues however failed to cooperate to provide information. Call for service documented for the record at this time. No further action being taken unless additional information is received.

10:08 p.m. An officer conducted a welfare check on a subject in the 200 block of E. Main St. Assistance was given.

10:49 p.m. A report of a prowler in the 200 block of Van Buren Ave. Officers were unable to locate anyone suspicious in the area. Checked ok. Assistance was given.

10:55 p.m. A report of a prowler in the 400 block of E. 5th St. Report of a prowler in the backyard, possibly attempting entry into the garage. No sign of prowler observed. The garage was secured upon inspection.

10:58 p.m. A report of harassment was taken in the 100 block of W. 7th St. No additional information was provided on this call.

11:20 p.m. An officer conducted a patrol of Maconaquah Park.
