2:29 p.m. Agency assistance in the 2900 block of S. Frances Slocum Trl., Peru. On April 12, 2019, deputies from the Miami County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to 2915 S. Frances Slocum Trail in reference to a missing 4-year-old male. Due to the distance of the nearest deputy, and at the request of the Sheriff's Department, officers from the Peru Police Department responded. A short time after arriving on-scene, the child was located at a neighbor's residence and the child was not harmed. The Sheriff's Department remained and conducted their investigation.

3:58 p.m. A report of a juvenile problem at Peru High School. A request from Peru School Corporation to investigate a juvenile issue that occurred after school had let out. No charges are being submitted to the Juvenile Probation Department at this time.

4:05 p.m. A report of an intoxicated driver in the area of S. Business 31 / S. US Route 31, Peru. A report of a green in color F150 driving off the roadway on U.S. 31. The vehicle was also reported to be northbound on Business 31 entering Peru. An officer checked Main Street between Broadway and Kelly Avenue and was not able to locate the vehicle.
