9:43 a.m. A report of disorderly conduct at Snavely Machine on Industrial Parkway. An officer spoke with the plant manager regarding a complaint of a female trespassing. Assistance was given.

10:07 a.m. 911 Hang-up in the 600 block of W. Main St. Checked ok.

10:15 a.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle at Walgreen’s on N. Broadway St.

10:30 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Lincoln St. / E. Canal St. Written warning issued.

11:20 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of Wilson Ave. / Cory Ave. Written warning issued.

11:54 a.m. Residential alarm in the 300 block of Monroe Ave. Checked ok.

12:04 p.m. Agency assistance at Norfolk and Southern Yard Office on N. Benton St. Dispatch advised of a tree on the tracks on the west side of Peru. The civilian who reported the tree also reported it to the railroad. Assistance was given.

12:30 p.m. A report of disorderly conduct in the 400 block of Jefferson Ave. A problem between neighbors. Assistance was given.

12:34 p.m. Property damage accident at Kroger on W. Main St. Local report of a minor accident from two vehicles backing from parking spaces across from each other when the two collided.

12:39 a.m. A report of disorderly conduct at Snavely Machine in the 1000 block of Industrial Pkwy. A report of a disorderly male. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, the male had already left the property. The officer spoke with the owner of the business and the female party involved. A report was taken.

1:58 p.m. Citizen assistance in the area of S. Wabash St. / E. Main St. Central dispatch advised of a female in front of the courthouse that was being disorderly. Officers spoke with the female and the female's mother. The female in question was calm and appeared to be ok. The female agreed to let her mother take her home to her house in Kokomo. The mother advised the reason for her daughter being upset was because of a court proceeding that had just taken place. Assistance was given.

2:07 p.m. Disorderly conduct in the 20 block of W. Main St. Central dispatch advised city units of a possible battery that had taken place in the west 50 block on Main St. An officer spoke with a business owner who advised that she did not see or hear anything. Officer were unable to locate the parties involved.

3:03 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Logan St. / N. Broadway St. Citation issued.

3:06 p.m. K9 deployment in the area of Logan St. / N. Broadway St. Free air sniff.

3:23 p.m. A report of a burglary in the 300 block of W. 5th St. Assistance was given.

3:43 p.m. A report of a controlled substance problem at Track’s End in the 60 block of Roxy Lane. No additional information was provided on this call.

4:16 p.m. Property damage accident in the area of N. Chili Ave. / E. 9th St. Robert L. Mcelroy, 59 of Inman, SC was operating a 2016 Ford Fusion southbound on N. Chili Ave. past East 9th St. over the railroad tracks when he was struck in the rear by a 2013 Chrysler 200 operated by Pauline F. Shinholt, 73 of Peru. Damage was estimated at between $1,001 and $2,500. A state crash report was completed.

4:53 p.m. A report of an unwanted guest in the 300 block of E. 5th St. Assistance was given.

5:18 p.m. A report of an erratic driver at Kroger on W. Main St. Officers were unable to locate.

5:53 p.m. A report of an animal problem in the 100 block of Monroe Ave. A loose dog in the area. The owner was able to locate the animal.

6:10 p.m. A report of a theft of gas from the McClure’s gas station on E. Main St.

8:35 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Wayne St. / E. Canal St. Verbal warning issued.

8:55 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Holland St. / W. 2nd St. Warning issued.

11:03 p.m. A male in the 300 block of E. Main St. reported that he allowed a male to borrow his vehicle and the man has not returned it. The vehicle was returned shortly after the report was taken. Assistance was given.
