7:50 a.m. A deputy discovered a disabled vehicle in the area of S. Business 31/W. River Rd., Peru. The driver had stopped to check paperwork.

10:01 a.m. A deputy conducted a security check in the 5200 block of N. 100 E., Peru.

10:08 a.m. A deputy assisted Dukes EMS with a medical call in the 4000 block of N. 100 W., Peru.

10:22 a.m. A deputy took report of fraudulent charges on a debit card at the Miami County Sheriff’s Department. Case report completed.

10:30 a.m. A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 13000 block of S. 300 E., Kokomo. The deputy spoke with the subject’s daughter who was en route to pick them up.

11:04 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. State Road 16/N. US Route 31, Denver.

12:17 p.m. A deputy spoke with an individual regarding possible identity deception at the Miami County Sheriff’s Department.

12:21 p.m. A deputy provided an escort for the Mexico Baptist Church in the 4000 block of N. Carrol St., Mexico.

1:18 p.m. A deputy attempted to serve a protective order in the 2900 block of S. 300 W., Peru.

1:32 p.m. A deputy attempted to serve a protective order in the 2900 block of S. Hilltop Dr., Peru.

1:47 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of a traffic hazard in the area of N. 100 E./E. 1500 N., Macy. The deputy spoke with the foreman who advised that traffic cones would be put into place.

1:51 p.m. A deputy served a protective order in the 100 block of E. Walnut St., Bunker Hill.

2:05 p.m. A deputy served a protective order in the 8700 block of S. 200 W., Bunker Hill.

2:19 p.m. A deputy attempted to serve a protective order in the 2800 block of W. 560 S., Peru.

2:29 p.m. Deputies responded to the report of an unwanted guest in the 400 block of N. Elm St., Bunker Hill. As Deputies arrived, they made contact with the complainant. During the investigation deputies located alleged drug paraphernalia and obtained a search warrant for the vehicle on the property. Deputies then arrested Michael Johnston, of Bunker Hill, on charges of Possession of a Syringe and Domestic Battery.

3:17 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of E 500 S./S. Strawtown Pike, Peru. Warning issued.

3:25 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of E. 800 S./S. Meridian Rd., Bunker Hill. Citation issued.

3:44 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of an unsafe driver in the area of S. Business 31/S. US Route 31, Peru. Warning issued.

4:02 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of E. 850 S./S. 300 E., Amboy. Citation issued.

5:07 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. 200 W./W. State Road 18, Kokomo. Warning issued.

6:18 p.m. A deputy spoke with an individual by phone in the 43000 block of Keesler Ct., Peru, in reference to possible harassment.

7:38 p.m. A deputy spoke with an individual in the 100 block of E. Harrison St., Denver, in reference to a lost dog.

7:48 p.m. A deputy recovered a found Indiana identification card in the 6200 block of S. 160 W., Peru.

7:50 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of theft at the King’s Court MHP in the 1500 block of W. 600 S., Peru. After speaking with both parties involved in the incident it was determined that this was a civil matter.

8:14 p.m. A deputy responded to the report of a possible fight in the 1000 block of N. Lincoln St., Peru. The incident was verbal only. The parties were advised to seek a no contact order.
