7:47 a.m. Traffic accident with damage in the area of W. River Rd. / S. 300 W., Peru. April Montgomery of Peru was traveling east on River Road in the area of CR 300 W. when she struck a deer in the roadway. Minor damage to the vehicle was reported. No injuries.

7:53 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. 550 E. / E. Wabash Rd., Peru. Warning issued.

7:56 a.m. Traffic accident with damage in the 2400 block of N. Meridian Rd., Peru. Car vs. deer crash with minimal front driver side damage. No additional information was provided on this call.

12:06 p.m. A report of a theft from a vehicle was taken at the Cedar Creek Mobile Home Park Office on S. US Route 31, Peru.

1:20 p.m. A report of trespassing at the Woodland Hills Mobile Home Park. Complainant located man on park property cutting trees. She stated ISP has been there and was speaking with the man regarding criminal trespass.

2:10 p.m. A deputy took a report of the theft from a vehicle in the 2900 block of W. Broadway St., Bunker Hill. This is an ongoing investigation.

2:17 p.m. A deputy assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the area of W. Broadway St. / S. US Route 31, Bunker Hill.

2:46 p.m. A report of a domestic disturbance at King’s Court Mobile Home Park on W. 600 S., Peru. ISP transported one subject to Dukes Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

4:15 p.m. A citizen in the 2600 block of W. 500 S., Peru had questions in reference to estranged husband removing property from a residence. Civil matter. Assistance was given.

4:26 p.m. The Miami County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Kokomo Police Department with attempting to locate a runaway juvenile female in the area of W. Hoosier Blvd. / S. US Route 31, Peru. The juvenile was detained and transported to Kinsey Juvenile Detention center. Another subject was issued a summons for driving while suspended.

5:13 p.m. Citizen assistance in the 4000 block of E. 1200 S., Amboy. A subject had questions about firearms on school property. Assistance was given.

5:18 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. US Route 31 / W. State Road 218, Peru. Citation issued.

5:31 p.m. A report of an unsecured door on a residence in the 2500 block of S. Business 31, Peru. The homeowner was present, and everything checked ok.

5:49 p.m. A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1600 block of Warhawk Rd., Peru. Everything checked ok.

6:26 p.m. Citizen assistance in the 1000 block of N. Lincoln St., Peru. A deputy spoke with a male over the phone who had questions regarding police standbys.

8:22 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of E. Main St. / Ash St., Peru. Warning issued.

8:32 p.m. A citizen came to the Miami County Sheriff’s Department to report a suspicious item found inside a residence. This is an ongoing investigation.

8:42 p.m. Attempted warrant service in the 4400 block of E. Daniels Rd., Peru. No contact with the wanted subject.
