7:11 a.m. A caller at the Hi N Dri Mobile Home Park on W. 10th St., Peru reported hearing and seeing things. Nothing was located in the area.
7:33 a.m. Citizen assistance in the area of N. State Road 19 / E. 1400 N., Macy. A deputy assisted a citizen with a disabled vehicle.
8:13 a.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle in the Beacon Parking Log in the 800 block of N. Broadway St., Peru. Checked ok.
10:01 a.m. A report of a traffic hazard in the area of S. Wallick Rd. / W. 250 S., Peru. The vehicle left the area prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
12:06 p.m. A no-contact order was served in person in the 400 block of Madison Ave., Peru.
12:32 p.m. A citizen came to the Miami County Sheriff’s Department to report a violation of a no-contact order. This matter is under investigation.
12:32 p.m. A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 2500 block of Kelly Ave., Peru. Checked ok.
12:57 p.m. A citizen came to the Miami County Sheriff’s Department to report a credit card account has been fraudulently opened using his information. Assistance was given.
1:19 p.m. A deputy responded to the 2200 block of Patrick St., Peru for the report of an auto theft. It turned out to be a civil matter over the contract sale of a vehicle. The complainant was advised to contact an attorney.
3:48 p.m. A report of a suspicious person/circumstance in the 2500 block of S. Business 31, Peru. ISP advised to disregard the call.
3:56 p.m. A report of a burglary in the 4000 block of S. US Route 31, Peru. A deputy spoke with a male who advised his sister was renting the property for approximately the past 11 months. The male said his sister had moved out but left some of her belongings behind inside the residence. The male stated his sister returned to the residence yesterday to obtain her remaining property. According to the male, there was no physical contact between his sister and the property owner. He continued saying he did not believe his sister was ever served any civil paperwork regarding the property. The incident was deemed as a civil matter at this time.
5:07 p.m. A report of a traffic hazard in the area of W. 850 S. / S. US Route 31, Bunker Hill. A report of a speeding vehicle. Unable to locate.
6:13 p.m. Warrant service in the 200 block of W. 3rd St., Peru. Micah Books was arrested on three Miami County Warrants for Violation of Probation.
7:40 p.m. Domestic disturbance in the 39000 block of Edwards Ct., Peru. A deputy assisted ISP with this call.
9:49 p.m. A deputy spoke with a female over the phone at the Cedar Creek Mobile Home Park in reference to a juvenile problem.
9:50 p.m. A deputy assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 700 block of W. 1075 S., Bunker Hill.
10:06 p.m. Warrant service in the 3200 block of S. 400 E., Peru. Jacob Hynds of Peru was arrested on a Miami County Warrant for Community Corrections Violation.
11:41 p.m. A report of criminal mischief at King’s Court Mobile Home Park on W. 600 S., Peru. A caller reported that someone had struck her flower pot and a post on her property with a vehicle then left the scene.
