12:09 a.m. Citizen assistance in the area of N. Paw Paw Pike / E. US Route 24. A report of an impaired driver. The driver was found to be having a medical issue. Assistance was given.

2:09 a.m. Parking problem in the area of N. Broadway St. / W. 7th St. Citation issued.

2:38 a.m. Parking problem in the 100 block of W. Main St. Citations issued.

3:11 a.m. Parking problem in the 200 block of E. 6th St. Citation issued.

3:27 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of Tippecanoe St. / E. Main St. Written warning issued.

3:59 a.m. An officer conducted a welfare check in the 300 block of E. 5th St. Assistance was given.

7:44 a.m. Citizen assistance at the Peru Police Department. A citizen came to the Peru Police Department to make a trespassing complaint. Following an investigation, a trespass warning was issued.

8:04 a.m. An officer overheard a subject screaming for help in the 200 block of W. 5th St. Officers made entry to assist with a medical emergency.

9:09 a.m. Citizen assistance in the 80 block of E. 5th St. Subject had multiple complaints about multiple issues. Assistance was given.

10:26 a.m. Officers assisted EMS with a medical call at Wings Etc. in the 800 block of W. Main St. Assistance was given.

11:58 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Broadway St. / W. Albert St. Citation issued.

12:41 p.m. A report of a suspicious person, possibly impaired, walking west of the intersection of N. Water St. / E. 5th St. Officers searched the area but could not locate the subject.

1:12 p.m. An officer took a report of a controlled substance problem at the Peru Police Department.

2:14 p.m. A report of a capped syringe located on a sidewalk in the 400 block of N. Broadway St. The item was collected and disposed of by PPD.

2:25 p.m. Funeral escort in the 400 block of W. Canal St.

2:50 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. Golden Hills Dr. / S. Business 31. Citations issued.

3:08 p.m. A report of a trash can in the roadway in the 300 block of N. 150 W. Upon arrival, the trash can was no longer in the roadway. Checked ok.

3:51 p.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 400 block of W. Main St.

4:27 p.m. Citizen assistance at the Peru Police Department. A parent asked an officer to speak with a juvenile regarding the repercussions of bullying and stealing at school. Assistance was given.

4:30 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of E. Spring St. / Wallace Ave. Written warning issued.

4:55 p.m. An officer took a report of a sex offense at the Peru Police Department.

6:01 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Wabash St. / E. Main St. Written warning issued.

6:34 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. 6th St. / N. Holman St. Written warning issued.

6:39 p.m. K9 deployment in the area of W. 6th St. / N. Holman St. Free air sniff.

6:47 p.m. A report of an unconscious person in the 10 block of Boulevard. Officers assisted EMS.

7:25 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. Benton St. / E. Canal St. Written warning issued.

7:26 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Water St. / E. 6th St. Written warning issued.

8:15 p.m. Traffic stop at Broadway Plaza. Brett Bishop, 26 of Peru was arrested on a charge of Possession of Syringe and a Miami County Warrant for Violation of Probation. Howard Bishop, 67, Marion was arrested on charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.

8:19 p.m. K9 deployment at Broadway Plaza. Free air sniff.

10:01 p.m. Citizen assistance at Dukes Memorial Hospital. The subject left prior to officer arrival.

10:19 p.m. Deposit escort from Dairy Queen on N. Broadway St.

10:52 p.m. Attempted traffic stop in the area of S. Wayne St. / E. 3rd St. A vehicle failed to stop for a traffic violation. After a short duration, officers terminated the pursuit. The investigation is ongoing.

11:59 p.m. Property damage accident in the area of W. US Route 24 / N. US Route 31. Vehicle vs. deer accident. Officers were unable to locate.
