12:30 a.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. US Route 24 / N. US Route 31, Peru. Written warning issued.

12:50 a.m. An officer conducted a patrol of Maconaquah Park. Two subjects were located in the park after hours and informed the park was closed. Checked ok.

1:24 a.m. A report of a suspicious person/circumstance in West City Park. An officer contacted a subject parked in a vehicle. A subject was playing a cell phone video and was advised the park was closed. Checked ok.

1:50 a.m. Traffic stop in the 00 block of Park Dr. Written warning issued.

2:34 a.m. Parking problem in the 100 block of W. Main St. Written warning issued.

2:46 a.m. Parking problem in the 100 block of W. 6th St. Written warning issued.

5:53 a.m. Traffic hazard in the 300 block of Blair Pike. Trash dumped in the middle of the roadway was moved to the side of the road and the Street Department was notified.

7:29 a.m. A report of a prowler the night before was taken at Tan City in the 10 block of E. Canal St.

7:39 a.m. A report of a dog struck by a vehicle in the 200 block of W. 7th St. Animal control took over call upon his arrival. Assistance was given.

9:24 a.m. A report of fraud was taken from a citizen at the Peru Police Department.

9:40 a.m. A report of a disorderly female subject at Helping Hands in the 100 block of N. Broadway St. The woman was asked to leave. Assistance was given.

9:56 a.m. A citizen came to the Peru Police Department for assistance with a civil matter. Assistance was given.

10:25 a.m. Citizen assistance in the 200 block of S. Broadway Ave. A syringe was located and disposed of by PPD.

10:50 a.m. An officer assisted a citizen with a locked vehicle in the 30 block of Plaza Dr.

11:50 a.m. Property damage accident in the area of S. Wabash St. / E. Canal St. Sparks V. Louis, 89 of Peru was operating a 1984 Pontiac at the stop sign on Second Street. Louis turned right to go southbound on Wabash Street. She did not see a 2015 Ford F250 operated by Brogan J. Guyer, 19 of Peru that was also traveling southbound on Wabash Street. Guyer slammed on his brakes and slid into the Pontiac. Damage is estimated at between $5,001 and $10,000. No injuries were reported. A state crash report was completed.

12:48 p.m. Citizen assistance in the 300 block of E. 3rd St. This was a civil matter over Social Security Check. Assistance was given.

2:15 p.m. A report of an attempted Breaking and Entering into a vehicle in the 400 block of W. Main St. Officers were unable to locate subject with the description given.

3:02 p.m. A report of a suspicious person/circumstance in the area of Huntington St. / E. Main St. An officer located a male subject he recognized to be a suspect in an active burglary case. The male subject was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics. Braxton Hyde, 30 of Peru was arrested on a charge of Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug (Heroin).

3:36 p.m. A report of juveniles walking on the bridge in the area of W. Riverside Dr. / S. Broadway Ave., Peru who threw a bike into the river. An officer was unable to locate the juveniles.

4:27 p.m. Citizen assistance in the 10 block of W. 5th St. Central dispatch advised officer to be en-route to an address in the 10 block of W. 5th Street in reference to the bank running out of money. Upon arrival, the officer stood by until 5:00 p.m.

7:38 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of James Ave. / McKinstry Ave. Written warning issued.

7:52 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of N. Holman St. / W. Main St. Written warning issued.

8:06 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Chestnut St. / W. 3rd St. Written warning issued.

11:26 p.m. An officer conducted an extra patrol in the 10 block of E. Canal in reference to prowler call from earlier in the day.

11:32 p.m. A report of a suspicious person/circumstance at K-Mart on Sherwood Sq. A vehicle parked in front of the Goodwill donation center. Appeared to be putting items in a vehicle. Checked ok.

11:34 p.m. Deposit escort from Dairy Queen on N. Broadway St.
