3:39 p.m. A report of a suspicious odor on Capehart St. in Eagle’s Pointe. Everything checked ok.

4:04 p.m. A report of a male skateboarding on US Route 31 near State Road 18. A deputy was not able to locate the man.

5:27 p.m. Warrant service in the 4800 block of W. 1350 S., Galveston, IN. Kevin Herrell, 31 of Galveston was taken into custody on a Miami County Warrant.

7:04 p.m. A report of cattle in the roadway in the 2100 block of E. 550 N., Peru. A deputy was unable to locate.

7:16 p.m. Agency assistance in the 2900 block of S. Hilltop Dr., Peru. A deputy was unable to contact a victim in reference to victim notification.

9:02 p.m. Citizen assistance at the Cedar Creek Mobile Home Park on S. US Route 31, Peru. A deputy spoke with a male in reference to a civil matter regarding ownership of a dog.

9:05 p.m. Traffic accident with damage in the area of W. 450 N. / N. US Route 31, Peru. A semi-truck driven by John Jenkins, 71 of Tennessee was traveling northbound in the passing lane of US Route 31 when he attempted to change lanes and struck a vehicle driven by Anthony Sanches, 21 of Goshen, IN. No injuries were reported.

9:09 p.m. A report of a possible domestic battery in the 2000 block of Shaw St., Peru. The parties agreed to separate for the night due to a verbal argument.
