11:17 a.m. Traffic accident with damage in the area of W. 1350 N. / N. US Route 31, Macy. Laura Runkle of Macy was driving west on CR. 1350 N. and failed to yield to a southbound vehicle on US Route 31 driven by Kimberly Caplea of St. Joseph, MI. Both drivers refused medical treatment.

2:07 p.m. Agency assistance in the 200 block of N. Main St., Macy. A deputy assisted Wabash County Sheriff’s Department with locating a vehicle involved in an accident in Wabash County. The vehicle was located in Macy.

2:17 p.m. Traffic hazard in the area of W. 550 N. / N. US Route 31, Peru. A deputy stopped a semi on US Route 31 at Sease Drive that had smoke billowing from the trailer. It was determined the smoke was from an underperforming exhaust system.

3:59 p.m. A deputy assisted a stranded motorist with a flat tire in the area of US Route 31 / W. State Road 18, Kokomo.

4:54 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of W. 1050 N. / N. US Route 31, Macy.

4:58 p.m. A deputy responded to the area of S. 200 W. / Pipe Creek Mill Road for a burglary. This incident is under investigation.

12:49 a.m. A report of an unwanted guest at Caring Hands on N. Matador St., Peru. The subject was ordered to leave the property and not return that night. The subject complied.

1:10 a.m. Traffic hazard in the area of E. 550 N. / N. State Road 19, Peru. A tree was removed from the roadway by a state officer.

2:12 a.m. Traffic hazard in the area of E. State Road 16 / N. Pony Farm Rd., Roann. A deputy removed a tree from the roadway.

3:25 a.m. A report of an assault was taken from a subject at Dukes Memorial Hospital. The victim reported that he was battered by eight individuals at a party near the spillway. This case is under investigation.

5:21 a.m. Traffic hazard in the area of S. Wallick Rd. / W. 300 S., Peru. A tree was removed from the roadway.

7:29 a.m. A report of an animal problem in the 1900 block of S. Summit Dr. W., Peru. A deer in a soccer net. A deputy freed the deer by cutting the net. The property owner was notified about the incident.

8:04 a.m. A deputy responded to a theft complaint at the Village Pantry on N. Foreman Dr., Peru. This matter is under investigation at this time.

9:19 p.m. Warrant service at Correll’s Mobile Home Park on N. State Road 19, Peru. Blake Van Dalsen, 31 of Peru was arrested on charges of Possession of Hypodermic needle, Possession of Legend Drug, Possession of Methamphetamine and a Miami County Warrant.
