On the evening of August 25, 2017, officers from the Indiana State Police will conduct an enforcement checkpoint targeting impaired drivers in Fulton County. After the checkpoint, troopers will conduct roving saturation patrols aggressively seeking impaired drivers throughout the Indiana State Police Peru District which covers Cass, Fulton, Grant, Miami, Howard, Tipton, and Wabash Counties.

Rochester – Yesterday at approximately 6:45 p.m. officers from the Indiana State Police, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, and the Rochester Police Department responded to a reported plane crash at 510 North State Road 25 in Rochester, IN.

Wabash – Last night, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a two month criminal investigation by Indiana State Police Detective Josh Maller resulted in the arrest of a Wabash, IN, man on two felony charges for theft and burglary.

Wabash County – Friday at approximately 11:53 p.m., officers from the Indiana State Police, the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (conservation officer), and firefighters from the Roann Volunteer Fire Department responded to the report of a submerged vehicle on Wabash County Road 600 West near County Road 500 North, in which a Roann man had to be rescued.

The promise was kept yesterday as police officers from various departments, firefighters, paramedics, community members, friends and family members gathered at Master Trooper Dave Rich Park to memorialize the 10th anniversary of the fallen trooper’s death.
