Wabash County – Yesterday, a criminal investigation by Indiana State Police Detective Josh Maller resulted in the arrest of Charles G Marseilles Jr, 46, 5233 South 50 East, Wabash, IN. Maller served Marseilles with a Wabash Circuit Court arrest warrant alleging felony charges for child solicitation by a child care worker for sexual intercourse or other sexual conduct with a child and child solicitation by a child care worker engaged in fondling or touching of a child 16 to 17 years of age.

Maller started an investigation after receiving information from the Wabash County Division of the Indiana Department of Child Services that Marseilles, a former employee of the Whites Residential and Family Services Facility, allegedly performed sexual acts on a 16-year-old resident of the facility.

The investigation revealed that in December of 2019, Marseilles purportedly committed sexual acts on a 16-year-old boy at the Whites Residential and Family Services Facility. At the time, Marseilles was employed, at the facility, as a campus life specialist.

Marseilles is no longer employed at the Whites Residential and Family Services Facility.

Maller was assisted in this investigation by Indiana State Police Detective Mike Lorona and the Wabash County Prosecutor’s Office.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
