Peru, IN – The filing deadline has passed, and the ballot is set for the 2019 City Primary Election to be held May 7, 2019.

Three candidates have filed for the Republican nomination or Mayor. They include former School Board President Wayne Bunker, PPD veteran officer Miles Hewitt and local business owner David Makin.

Incumbent Mayor Gabriel Greer is the sole person running on the Democratic ticket for Mayor.

Also running unopposed as a Democrat is the incumbent City Clerk-Treasurer Tish Soldi. No Republican candidate filed to run for the office of Clerk-Treasurer.
